1.0 COURSE OVERVIEW

1.1 Introduction

The Kenya School of Law  invites applications from LL.B Graduates and Lawyers  to pursue the Certified Secretaries (CS) Course qualifications. The School is offering virtual classes for Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. The intakes are  January, May and September to align with KASNEB examinations of April. August and December respectively.

 

1.2 Why CS Course? 

The CS qualification is increasingly becoming a key requirement for qualification for employment for various roles by Companies including State Corporations and County Governments. The Course also equips participants with  key skills and ability to undertake consultancy and advisory services in corporate secretarial and related practices;and undertaking  governance and compliance audits.

Please base the fee on the number of units being taken, Lumpsum fee is applicable for persons taking six units or where the total amount of fees per unit exceeds the lumpsum. Library fees is KShs 5,000 per year.Registration Fees is KShs 2,000 once off.

 3.0 SYLLABUS

 

The Course is divided into three levels, namely, the Foundation Level, the Intermediate Level and the Advanced Levels. Lawyers and advocates are entitled to EXEMPTIONS as provided in the table below:

4.0 MODE OF DELIVERY

Tuition commences on January 4, 2024 and classes shall conducted online between 5.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturdays as shall be indicated on the timetable.

5.0 ORIENTATION

There will be an orientation programme before commencement of the programme, on the use of Microsoft Teams, access to recordings, class timetables, library access and KASNEB requirements.
