INTRODUCTION
The contemporary operating ecosystem for Kenyan State Corporations is undergoing unprecedented regulatory and technological shifts. Public sector boards are no longer merely compliance repositories; they are vital engines of strategic stewardship. Boards are concurrently tasked with supervising complex generative and predictive technologies, driving compliance with pioneering sustainability directives from the Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB), maintaining absolute transparency under the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act 2012, and maximizing institutional performance within the rigorous strictures of the Mwongozo Code of Governance.
ABOUT THE COURSE
Unlike generic governance seminars, this masterclass explicitly bridges traditional fiduciary mandates with high-frontier digital tech and carbon-accounting compliance. By contextualizing macro trends against local instruments such as Article 10 national values, the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, and local market case studies. This training equips directors to convert regulatory mandates into competitive institutional advantages.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
After the conclusion of this high-level masterclass, participating board members will be equipped to:
i. Govern Exponential Technology
Formulate robust corporate AI ethics frameworks, balance technological risk with service delivery automation, and ensure strict compliance with the Data Protection Act 2019.
ii. Lead Environmental & Social Strategy
